Zynx Names Pat Button
as
Chief Nursing Officer
Pat Button, EdD, RN, has been named as chief nursing officer for Zynx Health. Previously, Pat served as director of nursing content for Zynx. She has been responsible for nurturing the growth of ZynxCare from its infancy in 2005 into a flagship product that is now helping to improve the quality and safety of care for patients in more than 200 hospitals nationwide. Pat has also overseen the growth of ZynxCare content from an initial 22 plans of care to now more than 140.
Pat has more than 20 years of experience in the clinical information systems industry. Prior to her arrival at Zynx, she worked in a variety of settings including practice, education, for-profit consulting, and vendor organizations. In all of these roles the unifying theme of her work has been improving the quality of care, whether through quality improvement initiatives, the use of clinical information systems, or the use of standardized terminologies to represent what nurses and the care team do. Her experience in system implementation and organizational change has been instrumental in defining approaches to helping Zynx clients derive the most value from ZynxCare.
“Under Pat’s leadership, ZynxCare clients have demonstrated quantifiable improvements in both processes and outcomes of care,” said Gregory Dorn, MD, MPH, executive vice president and general manager for Zynx. “We are delighted and proud to have her as a leader at Zynx.”
