ZynxCare Update

By all accounts, 2007 was a great year for ZynxCare. From a depth of content perspective, we’re proud to announce that the product grew from 112 plan-of-care templates at the start of 2007 to 148 by year’s end. The variety of our content offerings has also increased significantly, based in great part on client feedback. Content for the treatment of both pediatric and neonatal patients has been added, in addition to plans of care for patients with diabetes.

Also worth noting is that ZynxCare celebrated an important milestone at the end of 2007: our product is now in use at more than 230 hospitals! For 2008, we at Zynx will be focusing on increasing the usability of all our products—and ZynxCare is no exception. We continue to learn key areas of focus from our clients that will help us increase the usability of ZynxCare. These areas of focus include providing clients with plans of care that are both specific and concise, and also increasing the efficiency of the customization process. To this end, we will create generalized admission plans of care for specific patient populations such as adult, pediatric, and obstetrics patients. In this way, we will aim to help streamline the plans of care, speed up the customization process, and better support the interdisciplinary team workflow.

ZynxCare Tips

Each quarter, we will highlight a different tip to help you ensure your facility is making the most out of ZynxCare.

ZynxCare Tip #3:
ZynxCare and Clinical Pathways

Can ZynxCare content be used to develop clinical pathways? In a word, yes! Content can be organized to structure the plans of care into a clinical pathway format. This is a great option if your organization uses both pathways and plans of care.

Need help in learning how to use Zynx content to develop clinical pathways? Contact your client manager or a member of the ZynxCare team. We’ll be happy to help.
