CPC Features:
1.
A rich software database of concise synopses from the medical,
nursing, and health services literature that:
-
Are fully referenced and individually
graded, based upon clearly defined research methodology. (Zynxs Class of Evidence rating
system is accessible at the click of a button within the CPC
so that there is no need for users to memorize the system.) The CPC database
primarily focuses on relevant literature published in the past 10 years,
although some older studies have been included for areas in which
landmark articles were published prior to this decade and there have
been few or no subsequent important contributions.
-
Address aspects of care thought to be
the key drivers of quality and
cost in health services delivery. (Key topics or starting points
are highlighted in red in the CPC program.)
2.
Concise summary statements indicating:
-
Areas of controversy in the
literature
-
Areas of agreement in the
literature
-
Recommendations for care, where
appropriate (if indicated in the literature)
3.
Sample pathways are included for 20 of the clinical conditions to
give multidisciplinary teams examples of the type of pathways that can be
created, using the literature in the CPC. However, sample pathways should
not under any circumstances be used in the care and treatment of patients
because they are not intended to, nor can they, take the place of a
clinicians diagnostic or treatment recommendations for a particular
patient. Only a trained
clinician familiar with the health and condition of the individual patient
can develop the appropriate pathway.
4.
User support, including:
-
User manual
-
Help screens
