Evidence Monitor
Evidence Monitor is a sortable, filterable Web page listing all references added to ZynxEvidence (this includes the evidence for ZynxOrder and ZynxCare), available from the What's New page in AuthorSpace. It is filterable by content type, module, and page name. The Evidence Monitor includes the following column headers:
- Date - Publication year, month, and day
- Content Type - Medical evidence or interdisciplinary evidence
- Module - The name of the disease/condition or procedure
- Page Name - The name of the Zynx evidence page where the reference resides
- Citation - Reference added to Zynx content
- PubMed/Web/PDF - URL associated with citation
To make best use of the Evidence Monitor, filter for your topic of interest to identify a study, guideline, and/or performance measure in Zynx content.
Terminology Monitor
Terminology Monitor is a sortable, filterable Excel document, available as a link from the What's New page in AuthorSpace. The link is titled Order Set/Plan of Care. This document details all new, modified, and inactivated Zynx catalog terms since June 2012. It is searchable and filterable by content type, PIVOT ID, and term description. The Terminology Monitor consists of 3 tabs (i.e., New, Changed, Inactivated) and includes the following column headers:
- Publication Date - Publication year, month, and day
- Content Type - Order Set, Plan of Care
- Status - New, Changed, Inactivated
- PIVOT ID - A Zynx-generated unique identifier assigned to each Zynx term description
- Term Description - Zynx term added, changed (including previous and current term), or inactivated
- Term Type - Term type associated with the added/changed/inactivated Zynx term description
- Reason for Change - Details the nature of the change (Changed tab only)
- Reason for Inactivation - Details the nature of the inactivation (Inactivated tab only)
- Replacement Term PIVOT ID/Description/Type - Suggested term replacement (Inactivated tab only)
The Terminology Monitor can be used to add or map new terms to your catalog, to review changed terms for compliance with your policies, and/or to consider the impact of newly inactivated terms on your content and decide whether to replace or remap.
Guideline Update Schedule
The Guideline Update Schedule is a downloadable Excel file that contains newly released guideline topics and estimated timelines for when those guidelines will be incorporated into Zynx content. These are published on the third Thursday of each month.
Practice Monitor
Practice Monitor is made up of sortable, filterable Excel files listing all changes made to order sets or plans of care due to changes in the evidence, available from the What's New page in AuthorSpace. It is searchable and filterable by condition and intervention. When opening the Excel file, please navigate to the Practice Monitor Tab sheet. The Practice Monitor includes the following column headers:
- Date – Publication year, month, and day
- Group – Category of disease/condition or procedure
- Module – Name of the disease/condition or procedure
- Order Set/Plan of Care Name(s) – Venue/setting
- Patient Problem – Patient problem/condition associated with the module (ZynxCare only)
- Section – section/location within the order set (ZynxOrder only)
- Zynx Intervention – Zynx order set or plan of care item/reminder
- Change Type – Zynx item/reminder, evidence link, blue ribbon, gold key (added, changed, removed)
- Change Due To:
- Guideline – Recommendations from national/professional organizations
- Performance Measure – Performance measures from national/professional organizations
- Key Clinical Process Evidence – Evidence associated with outcomes related to mortality, admissions, readmissions, length of stay, and/or cost.
- FDA Safety Alert – Safety alerts from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (ZynxOrder only)
- Other – Reasons not specified above e.g. reanalysis of evidence)
- Zynx Evidence Page – Evidence page associated with Zynx intervention
To make best use of the Practice Monitor, filter for your topic of interest. To narrow the focus to interventions that are associated with improved clinical or cost-related outcomes and/or performance measures, filter for options associated with "blue ribbon" (performance measures) or "gold key" (improved clinical or cost-related outcomes) in the "How Did Item(s) Change?" column.
